Judi McKenna Edwards, Registered Dental Hygienist

I grew up here in Palo Alto with a loving family and wild times.
I went to the University of New Mexico, Las Vegas and got my dental hygiene degree from Foothill College. I enjoy keeping the legacy of my father, Dr. JB’s practice going.
My passions are my husband of 23 years, our daughter and my dog Cassie-Jo. I love spending time with my family, going on walks, friends, cooking and being out doors. I enjoy my family; most of you know my father J.B. who started McKenna Family Dentistry back in 1958. He is one of a kind and has the biggest heart. He is a teacher of love and life. He retired and moved with his dogs to the mountains in Placerville, CA. I still see him quite often and he is doing well. We miss our daily hugs though.
Lauren M. Wilson-Fangonilo, Practice Manager, R.D.A

When I was 12 years old I new I wanted to work in the dental field because of my orthodontist, Dr Hugh Grant. He and his staff were very caring, compassionate and loving to me. I pursued the dental assisting program at Foothill College and graduated in 1980. I have never regretted my choice. I love what I do and I know I am making a difference.
Many of you know that I am married to George Fangonilo, a high school buddy of Dr. Dave’s. We have three wonderful daughters all grown up and experiencing life. We are a part of the Dachshund family here at McKenna’s with our mini long-haired named Tucker. He is Dr Joy’s grand son.
My passion in life is to contribute to others and be helpful in anyway they need. I am a part of an organization that contributes to the well being of women and children around the world. I never really knew how satisfying it could be until you see what life you have helped saved.

Beverly Reyes, Hygiene Coordinator

My name is Beverly Reyes and I have been working at McKenna Family Dentistry for over 6 years now. I am the hygiene coordinator and handle all of the hygiene schedules, so if you call to schedule a cleaning appointment you will probably to talking with me.
On some days you will not see me in the office and that is because I also work as a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (MFTI). I am working towards my 3000 hours in order to become licensed.
My boyfriend and I have been in a relationship for almost 5 years and we have a 2-year-old daughter named Alana and a dog named Sandy.
I need a balance of spontaneity in order to keep me sane. I love to travel, go snowboarding, and spending time with my family and friends. I’m trying to simplify my life and am trying not to concentrate on the material things in life. I’ve learned that spending my time and energy on making long lasting relationships and memories is what matters the most.

Thelma Tabilio, Registered Dental Hygienist
Hello!! As a young girl, I always knew I was destined to help others. That is why I have chosen a path where I could utilize my abilities, focus my passion, and extend my love for others by being in the field of SERVICE.
I was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii found my way to California in 1986 to attend the College of Notre Dame, Belmont and pursue a Bachelor's degree in Nutritional Science. Food and Nutrition is my true PASSION. When I am not "cleaning teeth" you will find me in the kitchen creating something delicious, trying out new recipes, and watching my favorite chefs on the Food Network to be inspired by Food. I believe food can heal the mind, body, and soul. Life is DELICIOUS and should be savored one bite at a time.
But food wasn't enough, my passion for Health and Oral Health led to graduating from UCSF in Dental Hygiene in 1997. I have been practicing as a dental hygienist for 14 years and am grateful for my experiences, which have given me joy and appreciation for humankind. Currently, I am pursuing a 12 month certification course in Holistic Nutrition at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.
On your next visit, feel free to ask me anything about Food, Nutrition, and Oral Health.
